When the working environment of a PLC is harsh, the SIPLUS series products are required. For example, in outdoor factory buildings in northern regions, where winter temperatures are extremely low; where mechanical vibrations and shocks are strong; or where the air humidity is high, causing condensation on circuit boards; PLCs working in chemical plants with corrosive gases; or PLCs located at altitudes exceeding 2000 meters.
The SIPLUS S7-300 modules have the same functionality and technical data as the "standard" modules, but the environmental conditions they can be applied to are broader.
The SIPLUS S7-300 modules have their own unique order numbers, starting with 6AG1. (Refer to S7-300 Module Data, Chapter 1.7)
The SIPLUS S7-300 modules are not included in the hardware catalog. Please design the equipment based on the corresponding "standard" modules. (Refer to S7-300 Module Data, Chapter 1.8)
For example, the SIPLUS product order number corresponding to 6ES7 331-7KF02-0AB0 is 6AG1331-7KF02-2AB0. In hardware configuration, the order number 6AG1331-7KF02-2AB0 is not included, so when configuring, use 6ES7 331-7KF02-0AB0 as a replacement. Other SIPLUS products are similar.
The SIPLUS S7-300 is the 300 series PLC for use under extremely harsh environmental conditions which provides special needs for critical solutions.
The SIPLUS S7-300 modules can be used under extended environmental conditions compared to the "standard" S7-300 modules. The meaning of "extended environmental conditions" is:
Extended temperature range from -25°C to +60°C/70°C
Condensation is allowed
Increased tolerance for mechanical stress
